The three levels of self-awareness are the one’s we think about, our actions, and our reactions. We think about what we think and about what we do, and we react to what we see, feel, and experience.
The problem is that when we are in the midst of all of these self-awareness moments, we tend to forget that we are on autopilot. We are reacting to what we see, feel, and experience. And when we react to what we see, feel, and experience, we tend to think that we are actually doing something, and when we think we are doing something, we tend to think that we are in control.
As a result we tend to get stressed out. We think that we are doing something, but when we think we are doing something, we tend to think that we are not doing anything. We even think that we are doing it.
